International Conference on Discrete Mathematics - 2008
(ICDM 2008)
June 6th to 10th, 2008
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has declared 10th June of each year as Graph Theory Day and has come forward to render financial support to organize a major conference/workshop in Discrete Mathematics around this date. In tune with this decision, Academy of Discrete Mathematics and Applications (ADMA), Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre for Intensification of Interaction on Interdisciplinary Discrete Mathematical Sciences (SRC III DMS) and University of Mysore have come forward to organize ICDM 2008 at the campus of University of Mysore.
First Announcement
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has launched, as a part of the new major national initiative, two programs: ‘National Centre for Advanced Research in Discrete Mathematics' ((n-CARDMATH) and ‘National Mathematical Sciences Initiative' (NMSI). In consonance with these two programs, the Academy of Discrete Mathematics and Applications (ADMA), formed on June10, 2004, declared June 10th, as ‘Graph Theory Day' and decided to observe this day by organizing major academic events on or around that date. Accordingly, ‘Graph Theory Day IV' has been decided to be observed by organizing the International Conference on Discrete Mathematics during June 6-10, 2008 (ICDM-2008) at the University of Mysore. This conference also signifies the flagging off another major joint venture of the University of Mysore and ADMA in the establishment of the Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre for Intensification of Interdisciplinary Interaction in Discrete Mathematical Sciences (SRC-IIIDMS) in the campus of the University of Mysore.
