International Conference on Discrete Mathematics - 2008
(ICDM 2008)
June 6th to 10th, 2008
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has declared 10th June of each year as Graph Theory Day and has come forward to render financial support to organize a major conference/workshop in Discrete Mathematics around this date. In tune with this decision, Academy of Discrete Mathematics and Applications (ADMA), Srinivasa Ramanujan Centre for Intensification of Interaction on Interdisciplinary Discrete Mathematical Sciences (SRC III DMS) and University of Mysore have come forward to organize ICDM 2008 at the campus of University of Mysore.

Here is an IMPORTANT update:
As part of ICDM 2008, a Pre Conference Workshop on Discrete Mathematics will be held from 2nd to
5th June at Mysore. Click here for further details. (Last date for Registration: March 31, 2008).
The Conference will be inaugurated at 9.00 AM (IST) on June 6, 2008 by Professor R. Balasubramanian, Director, Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.
This announcement gives the complete list of speakers, typesetting specifications and mode of payment of registration fee. All other details relating to the conference will be posted in our website ICDM-2008 which is accessible through Google or via http://www.adma.co.in/icdm2008-home.html.

Academic Programme:
The academic program of the conference will consist of plenary talks, invited talks and paper presentations. Each plenary speaker will be given one hour and each invited talk will be for 45 minutes.
Lecture Notes:
Each participant will be given a copy of the lecture notes along with the conference kit. All invited speakers are requested to provide a copy of the notes of their proposed lectures before April 10, 2008. Their lectures may be either comprehensive surveys or talks based on their original research. The pdf and LaTex versions of these lecture notes may be sent before the deadline to Professor P. Paulraja (pprajaau@sify.com). The length of a paper may not exceed 15 pages. The papers should be typeset according to the following specifications:
Print Area: 12.8 cm x 21.6 cm, Single space layout, Single column, Font: Times New Roman 10 or 12.
Papers for presentation: Participants who wish to present papers in the poster sessions may send one hard copy and one soft copy to Professor Ambat Vijayakumar, Department of Mathematics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi 682 022 (vijay@cusat.ac.in). All papers submitted for presentation will be screened by a screening committee and only papers recommended by the committee will be considered for presentation. Abstracts of papers recommended for presentation will also be included in the lecture notes. The deadline for poster papers is March 31, 2008.
Authors who want their papers to be considered for the conference proceedings should clearly mention it at the top of the first page of their papers.
Conference Proceedings
The Conference Proceedings will consist of refereed versions of invited talks and papers presented at the conference. It is proposed to publish the Proceedings in the Lecture Notes Series of the Ramanujan Mathematical Society within about six months from the period of the conference.
Weather
The weather will be quite nice in Mysore in June with the temperature in the range 25-30 deg Celsius with occasional drizzling.
